Programme

The L'Aquila Film Institute also has its own programme of events that take place during the year.

The aim of these events is to acquaint people with the various disciplines that exist in film and
audiovisuals through special events, exhibitions, competitions, conferences and discussion forums.

The programme includes retrospectives and special screenings on particular film-makers or on particular themes, and seminars and discussions with film practitioners focusing on the theory and practice of film and television production.

These events provide the opportunity to talk to and exchange ideas with celebrated professionals in the industry.

Film is seen as a means of investigating other art forms such as music, theatre, dance, architecture, painting and literature.

Much of this takes place at Cinema Massimo, an ideal location for events of this kind as it is furnished with the most advanced audio and video technology.
