Publishing

For some years the L'Aquila Film Institute has also been involved in publishing under the guidance of Gabriele Lucci. The publications are a direct result of the work, seminars, conferences, and research conducted in conjunction with illustrious film practitioners and historians. The two main book series are:

1. Essays and Research Papers: Publications regarding the history of the institute, its initiatives to promote film appreciation and a
volume of photographs dedicated to the city of L'Aquila by the renowned photographer Gianni Berengo Gardin.

2. Film Art and Technique. Since 1982 a publication series focusing on specific skills such as cinematography, editing, costume design, and art direction. These publications have been produced with the
assistance of the professionals in the industry and film critics who
have collaborated with the Institute.
